Greetings Reef Checkers!

Just wanted to let you know about Underwater Parks day on Saturday January 18th at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. I would love to have you come by and help out by sharing your Reef Check knowledge and experiences with attendees. Our new Volunteer Coordinator will not be on board yet so it would be great to have a little help.

Here's some info from the Aquarium about the event: Learn more about Southern California’s network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) that went into effect January 1, 2012. Guests will be able to learn about the commercial and recreational activities permitted. MPA stories will be told using film, lectures, and interactive exhibits. The event will also feature educational booths and activities in the Great Hall. http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/events ... parks_day/

It would be great to get a couple of people who could spend maybe an hour or so at the table with me. I will let you know more as I get the details, but please keep it in mind in case you are in the area - let me know if you are interested in teaming up with me at the booth!

Potential Volunteers:
1. Claudette 1:30
2. Tim 1:30 or 2 pm
3.
4.
5.

Sounds like fun! Could I join you for the second half of the day? After 2? Or after 1 if that's better?

Claudette, that would be great! Thanks so much. It would be wonderful to be able to step away for a short lunch outside of AOP if possible. I'm hoping to find a few more helpers, too. Let's say 1:30?

Thanks!
