Reef Checkers,
There is a great FREE marine science symposium coming up put on by the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Check it out! Details below and on attached pdf flier.

What: 2013 Sanctuary Currents Symposium -- a free event!

When: Saturday, April 27, 2013

Where: California State University Monterey Bay

Theme: "Change: Observations on the Shifting Ecology of the Sanctuary"

"Change is the only constant in the universe. Change alone is unchanging." So said Heraclitus of Ephesus more than 2000 years ago, and this still holds true for the marine ecosystems of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.

Come learn about changes occurring throughout the Sanctuary, and the drivers of those changes, from the experts actively seeking to understand them.

Presentation topics will range from top predators to ocean chemistry, from marine mammals to geology, and will conclude with insights into the changing face of resource management in the region.

Additional Symposium information can be found at: http://montereybay.noaa.gov/research/symposium.html
