Hello Reef Checkers,

Please take advantage of our free DAN First Aid for Professional Divers course on March 30th at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The course includes CPR Review, AED, O2, and Hazardous Marine Life. The course will be taught by our very own Reef Checker Bob Halem. He is teaching the course for free but the cost for materials is $10-$20 (we'll let you know) which includes the book, slates, and a paper certification card. If you want a plastic card, it is $10 extra. I also have CPR pocket masks for sale for $7, which I feel is a must for every person's save-a-dive(r) kit.

When: Sat March 30th, 9am-3pm.
Where: Monterey Bay Aquarium OVCR, now called Bing conference room. Meet at the Members Entrance at 9am sharp.
What to bring: $20 for materials and $7 if you want to purchase a CPR pocket mask.

The class number is capped at 12 people so reserve your space early! Sign up will be closed Fri. March 15 so there is enough time order materials.

The complete Professional Divers course takes about 4-6 hours and is quite comprehensive. I encourage all of you to increase your diving safety/ emergency knowledge. Special thanks to Bob for offering this course!
