Greetings Reef Checkers!

JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC HAS CHANGED THE DATE FOR THIS EVENT. IT IS NOW SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY JANUARY 19TH.

Just wanted to let you know about Underwater Parks day on Saturday January 19th at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. We're still working out the details, but there's a big chance that we may have a booth at this event. If so, we'd love to have you come by and help out by sharing your Reef Check knowledge and experiences with attendees.

Here's some info from the Aquarium about the event: Learn more about Southern California’s network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) that went into effect January 1, 2012. Guests will be able to learn about the commercial and recreational activities permitted. MPA stories will be told using film, lectures, and interactive exhibits. The event will also feature educational booths and activities in the Great Hall. http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/events ... parks_day/

It would be great to get a couple of people who could spend maybe an hour or so at the table with me. I will let you know more as I get the details, but please keep it in mind in case you are in the area - let me know if you are interested in teaming up with me at the booth if we have one!

FYI, I think this event is actually on the 19th. I might be able to be there in the am. If I am I have to spend some time with the AOP scientific diver table, but I will also spend time with Reef Check. I will let you know...
