Reef Checkers! Please join us for a shore survey at the north end of Monastery Beach. If you've been to this site you know that it is beautiful and full of life. It is also known for being a quick swim to super deep waters. We will however be staying in the shallows, max depth 45ft, but most of the site is in ~20ft. This site is too small to fit an entire survey into so we only do 6 cores and no fish-only transects. Therefore, we only need 6 to get this site done in two dives. If we get more signed up we can complete it with one dive and the second could be a fun dive at S. Monastery.
As many of you know this site becomes unsurveyable very easily due to its exposure and shallow reef. Therefore I will do my best to find out the status of conditions the day before to avoid an unsuccessful trip down by all.
