Hi Reef Checkers,

In addition to our June 2nd and 3rd surveys at Refugio, I decided to add a back up date on June 17th in case we don’t finish after those two days. Note! This is Father’s Day so Dads, make sure to check with the family first!

The Plan:

Meet at 8:00 am Sunday, June 17 with 2 tanks and all your dive & survey gear at the east end of the park. Plan on doing two dives given this is a back up date, but I will keep the forum up to date on our progress. Let the ranger know you are a volunteer diver with Reef Check and you will get free parking.

Refugio Crew - Was the survey completed?

We will definitely be going on this Sunday, June 17th and will take all the help we can get to complete this survey! We have only completed 2 Core and 4 Fish transects, so the more the merrier to get this one finished!

We will be meeting at 8:00 AM at the east end of the park. Please bring two tanks and all your survey gear. Be prepared to make two dives and let’s hope for good conditions! I’ll supply plenty of data sheets and I have arranged for free parking. Just let the attendant know that you are a Reef Check volunteer and they will give you a morning pass!
