Welcome to the RCCA Certified Forum

Postby cshuman » Thu Apr 19, 2007 2:26 pm

This forum is for the exclusive use of Reef Check California certified divers to schedule dives and discuss specific details of the monitoring protocol. One of the primary objectives of this forum is to link the teams throughout the state through a single communication portal to allow you to recruit fellow divers to help complete your surveys. While only RCCA certified divers can contribute to the forum, it can be viewed by all interested parties.

Please adhere to the following convention when organizing a dive:

The Subject line for each new thread should contain the survey region, date and site name (e.g., Nor/Cen Cal – 11/1/07 Breakwater).

If you have a post that pertains to all divers statewide use "RCCA" in place of the region.

Following posting of the thread, the proposed dates for surveys will be entered on the dive calendar as “Proposed” by Reef Check staff. When at least two divers have confirmed, the designation will switch to confirmed indicating a dive will take place contingent upon safe diving conditions.

The calendar can be found at: http://www.reefcheck.org/rcca/rccalendar.php

Remember, your Regional Program Manager does NOT need to be present for you to plan or conduct a survey.

We are all very excited about this new tool to keep us all connected. Please send us any feedback you might have to help streamline the dive planning process.

See you all in the water soon!!!
