Hi, all.

On the 4/16 recert charter, I mentioned that I had made a video of the sheep crab mating aggregation I witnessed at Breakwater on 4/2/2016. I found it in about 30' of water, just south of the kelp line near the entry closest to the wall. It was pretty surreal - see for yourself here.

I was out that weekend and saw them too! Or maybe it was another crab orgy. Mine were at 38 ft. Spectacular sight! Of course, your video is way better than mine. Around the fringes of the mound were piles of leg exoskeletons. I went back a week later to see if I could find them, but all I found was the ring of exoskeletons.

we went out on 4/23 to locate the crabs, but we only saw one dead and one live one.
However, we saw a new born sea lion (after marker 7)

also apparently orcas where around, but we didn't hear anything underwater.
